A couple crafts to keep me busy...

Hello again,

Yes, I'm supposed to be resting, but I snuck off to Michael's to get craft stuff and made a couple things.  I seriously needed the distraction!

First thing I made was actually a total copy-cat project but I'm not exactly the best at thinking of my own crafts to make so sometimes I need to get ideas from others! I made some super cute "Family Name Stackers" from Craft-O-Maniac's blog: http://craftomaniac.blogspot.com/2011/04/guest-post-cute-family-name-stacker.html.. but mine are the tinier version I think.

I got these little blocks for a total of like $5 at Michael's:

Then I got out my power sander and rounded the edges out:

Then I painted the blocks with acrylic paint in Antique White
(except for the side that scrapbook paper goes on):

Then I cut out scrapbook paper the size of one side of my blocks (all different prints that I found from Michael's) and Mod Podged them on... I also did a layer over the top:

Then I free handed on some letters because the stencils I have are way too big. I used a black paint marker. I wish I would of had stencils but they didn't turn out as bad as I expected, haha:

I thought they looked cute on my wine lower wine rack.  I love home decor crafts, they're my fave. :D

Also... I wanted to make some thing cheap and easy for Easter. So, I bought 3 of these little $1 bird houses at Michael's, and painted them in pastels:

And put them on my mantel:

I thought they were kinda cute. ;)
