A fun and easy Christmas craft!

Hello, my name is Stevie and I'm addicted to Christmas.

It's only November 27th and our house is already glowing with Christmas lights, stockings are hung, and the tree is all set up... looking like it came straight out of the Pottery Barn catalog. Yep, I'm bragging, my husband rocks at decorating for Christmas. :) Haha! Just kidding, I helped too, but without him it would take me FOREVER & it wouldn't look nearly as pretty! Here's what the living room looks like (I'll try and take pics of every other room soon to share.)

Anyways, I wanted to bling up my mantle this year, so I made some fun sparkly holiday letters to dangle from it. I thought I would share it with you all and maybe inspire someone.

Supplies needed:
Letters from Michaels Crafts spelling whatever word you would like. I did "peace"
Loose glitter in whatever color you want (they have it in tubes at Michael's.)
Elmer's Glue or Mod Podge.
Hot glue/glue gun.

Just dump a tube of glitter out onto a paper plate, cover the front of each letter with some glue (smear it so it's covering ALL of the letter), and put it glue face down into the glitter. Push down making sure all of the letter is covered. Lay it out on a paper towel and let the glue dry.

Repeat this with each letter. After all of the letters are dry, go to your mantle and measure how long you would like your letters to dangle down. I did about 6" or so. Cut a piece of ribbon that length for each letter.  Once you've done that, just hot glue the ribbon to the back of each letter, and hang from your mantle. I hung mine on little nails.

It adds a nice and sparkly touch to the mantle:

(Even though this picture doesn't do the sparkles justice!)
