"Mommy Essentials" part 3!

Hi everyone :)

It's time for the third & final part of my Mommy Essentials series, & I'm so excited to share with you some more of my favorite products that I think you'd love for your babies too!  I'm so excited for Jace to get here, I can hardly stand it!

1.  Milk Snob car seat & nursing cover.  Did you guys watch Shark Tank last Friday?!  I was SO excited to see the owner of Milk Snob on the show.  She had 3 sharks fighting over investing because her product is genius!  It's a car seat cover that converts into a nursing cover AND shopping cart cover for baby. When on the car seat there's just a little slit at the top that keeps strangers from touching your baby while in the car seat which I LOVE.  The lightweight & stretchy fabric is great for the nursing cover side of it, because if you've ever nursed a baby under a hot blanket you can understand why this is necessary!  These come in all kinds of cute prints, my choice was the black & white stripes!  There are some gorgeous floral print ones for all you girl mamas.  Definitely grab yourself one of these!
2.  Mint & Arrows swaddle sack.  Do you SEE how adorable this thing is?? I chose the Batman mask print because it just fits in so perfectly with out super hero obsessed fam.  I love that you don't have to wrap or tuck, just slide your little baby right in there so they're nice & cocooned in.  With a matching little hat to match, your baby will be snoozin' in style & comfort.  I can't wait to get some pics of Jace in his ASAP!
3.  Baby B Fresh Pacifier & Bottle Sanitizer.  Have you ever seen that Huggies commercial where the mom drops the baby's pacifier on the floor & just uses her mouth to clean it off for the baby?  Yeah, I've done the same thing.  Gross!  I'm so excited to have found this cool sanitizer that will take care of the germs for me this time.  It sanitizes not only bottles & pacifiers, but also sippy cups & some teething toys.  The older I get, the more of a germaphobe I become when it comes to my kids, so this couldn't have come into my life at a better time.  ;)  There are 3 to choose from:  the bear, ducky & tiger.  So cute!
4.  Nuroo nursing scarf.  I'm a huge supporter of breast feeding.  My mom always told me that it was a wonderful experience & that made me determined to nurse my babies for a long time as well.  Which I did, & will with Jace too of course.  That being said, I feel like it's crucial to find a nursing cover that is not only practical but stylish.  Why?  That way you are comfortable feeding your baby anywhere you go in public, & feel completely confident doing it.  I never knew there were nursing covers that actually turn into cute little scarfs too, until I discovered Nuroo!  It's a super soft & breathable for when you're nursing your little one, & then turns into a trendy little accessory.  I love more bang for my buck!  I chose the ivory with grey stripes, but they have other prints too.  I'm taking this to the hospital with me to use right when my little love comes out! :)
5.  Bloom Baby Sensitive Wipes.  I learned the hard way with my first son that buying just any type of wipe was not going to cut it.  Not only do my babies all have very sensitive skin like I do, but if there are any chemicals in the wipes whatsoever it makes their little bottoms turn red & get diaper rash.  These wipes are made with 98% natural ingredients, they're hypo-allergenic & formaldehyde free, safe for rash prone skin (like my boys), they have a sensitive moisturizing lotion in them, & are enriched with vitamins A, B-complex, D, Omega-3, & 6!  Wow!  I have a feeling that Jace will have the same skin as the rest of us do, so I'm happy that I have these safe & sensitive wipes to use on him from day one.  These are available at select target locations!

There are many products I love so much, but I'm going to wrap up my series for now!  I hope you enjoyed reading about my favorite products & love them as much as I do.

Time to put these crazy boys to bed now!  Good night! :)

37 week pregnancy update & 50% off the world's BEST maternity leggings!

Happy weekend!

Well, baby Jace could technically arrive any day now!  If he did, he wouldn't even be considered pre-term.  I'm trying to be as prepared as possible & not think of it as having 3 weeks left, so just in case he does come early we're ready to go.  My mom is flying in on Thanksgiving day on a one-way ticket just to be here for the birth & to help out afterwards for a bit.  I'm so relieved that she will be here.  If the baby arrives earlier than that, I have a few amazing friends who have offered to help out with the boys if needed.

The last few days I've actually felt a little bit of relief.  Or maybe I'm just so used to the discomfort that I don't remember what it's like to not have it??  I've noticed that I don't have shortness of breath as much now which is nice!  It also probably means he's dropped down a bit, getting ready for his appearance. ;)

I thought I'd do a little 37 week update survey, so here it is!

How far along: 37 weeks
Gender: Boy
Weight gain: 30 lbs.
Maternity clothes: I can't wait to share about the best leggings on the planet.... see below. ;)
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: Out!
Sleep: Between the 6 or 7 times a night I go to the bathroom, I'm sleeping pretty well. I do wake up super early sometimes unable to fall back asleep though.
Best moment this week: I'll go with something that just happened this morning.  We went to my son's grade school for a special "pancakes with pope" (the principal) event since he raised enough on his fundraiser. As we got out of the car I realized I was wearing my SLIPPERS.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  Pregnant brain is a REAL thing folks!
Miss anything: I miss being able to wear sexy skinny jeans & my toned body!  SO excited for that again!!!
Movement: Oh this crazy baby man moves constantly & the movements haven't really slowed down much either, even though he's running out of space!
Cravings: Water all day long with crushed ice, fruit, carbs, & sweets.  Big time.  The Halloween candy has been a problem.
Looking forward to: MEETING JACE BENTLEY JACKSON!!!!  We all want to smother him with kisses!
Okay so as I mentioned above, I want to share with you the BEST maternity leggings EVER.  They're from Blanqi, & they're high waist SUPPORT leggings.  I'm not even joking, I've been LIVING in them.  They're also great for post-baby support too so I can continue to wear them.  The stretchy material is super soft, SO extremely comfy, & I truly feel so much more support in these leggings than I do in any others!!

Oh... and I have good news!  I'm partnering with Blanqi to bring you exclusive early access to their Black Friday Sale!  This is your chance to get these amazing leggings HALF OFF!  Follow this link to unlock the hidden page & get your leggings at the discounted price before anyone else. ;)
If you're pregnant, do NOT miss out on this sale!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Jord Wood watch giveaway & our Fall Family Photos!

Good morning,

I hope your Monday has been off to a good start.  My big boy is at kindergarten today, my youngest is at preschool & I had a Moms in Prayer meeting this morning.  It's actually raining outside today & feels like fall.  So I'm going to enjoy my last couple of kid-less hours sipping a peppermint coffee, listening to the rain, & blogging!

I wanted to share some of our family photos we had taken a few weeks ago with Courtney Helsley Photography.  I met her through Instagram & it was fate! She lives not far from us & happens to be an amazing photographer.  Our photos came out gorgeous.

One of my favorite parts about family photo sessions is planning the OUTFITS, right down to the accessories.  This year I actually wore a 5 year old white maxi dress I bought from Guess that felt fitting for this shoot (& worked with my belly), & another blue dress I found from a shop nearby (they don't have a website otherwise I'd share it!) It's not even a maternity dress but I liked the way it fit so I bought it.  Cole is wearing a shirt by Cat and Jack from Target (I LOVE this brand), & Brody is wearing a grey sweater that Cole wore for last year's shoot.  (Poor kid always gets the hand-me-downs but we wanted him in grey & it had only been worn ONCE!)

Speaking of accessories, I do have to mention the watch that Michael is wearing in these photos.  It's a watch made out of WOOD by Jord!  It's such a cool watch.  They have men's & women's watches that are to die for.  I'm always looking for original ideas for Christmas/birthday/anniversary gifts & these unique watches are the PERFECT choice.  My husband even wore a shirt to go with it & I loved the way the photos turned out:

Here is a close-up of the gorgeous watch Michael is wearing... (I'm a sucker for pretty packaging & thought the wooden box it came in was super classy & masculine):

If teaming up with Jord in a giveaway right now that expires 11/20.  Contest winner gets a $75 e-gift code to the shop, and will be automatically selected and emailed.  All other entrants receive a $20 e-gift code automatically emailed to them just for entering!  Go to this link:

Here are some of more of my favorites from our family photo session:

Thanks for stopping by, & remember to enter to win a $75 e-gift code to Jord!

"Mommy Essentials" Part Two!

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm now ONE month from my due date & feeling.... ready.  To say the least!  I keep trying to stop myself from complaining & just realize how blessed I am to have a healthy baby on the way.  Easier said than done at almost 36 weeks of course.

The fun part of pregnancy now is getting all of the adorable baby stuff ready.  Today I'm going to share some more of my favorite items that I think every mama needs for their baby!

Guys, these adorable little cards are a must.  I so wish I had these with my first two boys!  They have a card for every 2 weeks & then month by month, & also for each milestone like: "first smile," "took my first steps today," etc!  So when you go to take photos of your baby to announce to the world what their newest achievement was, you have a little card to display next to them!  SO perfect right?!
In my opinion, any baby born from this date forward should own a pair of these adorable moccasins.  Thanks to Sweet 'n Swag, you have just about every color imaginable to choose from! We decided on the white ones for Jace.  I can't wait to take a million pictures of him wearing them, they're adorable.
I am obsessed with the super soft organic cotton that Finn & Emma makes their clothes with!  I want nothing but the best to put my newborn baby in, especially in the beginning.  We chose this adorable body suit in the new "totem pole" print, with the matching footed pants & hat!  If it fits Jace right away, it'll be his coming home outfit from the hospital for sure!
I am obsessed with swaddling my babies in the beginning, but I've never felt a swaddle blanket quite as soft & luxurious as this one!  We chose one from the "Nature Collection" in Stone.  It's absolutely gorgeous & baby Jace will be swaddled in it from day one!  I can't wait to share pics of him wrapped up in it, snug & as a bug in a rug.  ;)

Alright, that's about all I have time for today - getting ready to take Brody on a play date this morning.  I will be doing part 3 of my Mommy Essentials series coming up very soon!  Also, in a few days I will be sharing some maternity/family photos!

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

My top "Mommy Essentials" Part One!

Hi everybody!

As a mom of two, & a third due in SIX WEEKS (eeeek!) I felt like I needed do a "mommy essentials" post sharing what I think are some must haves for mommies of new babies!

In the past three years since I've had Brody, there have been so many great products that have come out that I didn't have before!  I am so excited to share with you a handful of these items today, & will do another post very soon with some more of the products I'm super excited about this pregnancy.

Have y'all ever heard of The Baby Cubby?  It's a GREAT website for baby must-have items.  I'll share more about them in a bit, but first, here are some of my FAVES right now:

1.  The Coco and Kiwi Provence 5-piece diaper bag.
GAHHHHH!!!! Can you say gorgeous?!  I've had a crush on this fabulous bag for months now, & finally got one.  I am absolutely obsessed.  The style, quality & space inside are perfect!  Do I really have to WAIT until Jace gets here to use it?  I'm going to try my best not to so it's fresh & clean when baby arrives but I'll be drooling over it daily for the next 6 weeks.

2.  The DockATot Deluxe.
One of the greatest inventions for mommies & babies that I've come across since being a mom!  I so wish I had one of these with my first two.  This is going to work SO well for the early months when I'm not ready to put Jace in his crib yet for bed time & need him safely sleeping next to me.  It'll be so easy to just get him out to nurse him in the middle of the night when he's sleeping right next to me in this! It's also great for them to just lounge & play in during the day.

3.  The Owlet Baby Monitor.
This monitor connects to your blue tooth & notifies you in the middle of the night if your baby's heart rate or oxygen level has dropped below normal!  I am amazed at the technology we have these days.  This monitor is going to be SO helpful for giving me peace of mind when I put Jace in his crib & am not next to him all night long.

Those are my top 3 picks at the moment, & there will be more posts to come with additional items I am loving right now!

All of the items I listed above can be found at: The Baby Cubby.  I highly recommend shopping through them, they have the best products available right now & are truly a great resource during this sometimes challenging season of motherhood!

A little bit more about this amazing company:

The Baby Cubby is for every parent out there who has ever felt overwhelmed or discouraged about becoming a parent. The Baby Cubby team is made up of parents who have been there, we know what it’s like and we are passionate about encouraging, inspiring, and reminding parents how amazing they are and how important their role is.

You can read a little bit more about what they're passionate about and why they do what they do on their about us page here -

Also... they price match (even with Amazon), & free shipping on orders $50 or more!

Thanks so much for checking out this post, I'll be back soon with some more fun mommy items I want to share.  :)

Happy Weekend!

My tips on how to survive the cold & flu season... all things that have worked wonders for us!

Hey everyone!

I've had it on my heart for awhile now to do this post, & I'm finally sitting down to make it happen.

Let me start by saying, I am in no way shape or form in the medical field, & I am not trying to give anyone medical advice.  I believe in modern medicine & the blessing that it can be to many people, so this blog post is not to encourage avoiding doctor's visits at all.  If you're sick, do what you need to do!

With that being said, let me tell you a little bit of a back story:  We moved to Texas last July of 2015.  Literally as SOON as my oldest son Cole started pre-k, the sickness began.  Our family was hit with more viruses & sicknesses than we could count.  This went on continually for months, if one person got better, another would get sick.  There wasn't a moment when all 4 of us were healthy for at least 3 months, maybe longer!  We've always been a pretty healthy family, so our theory is that because we moved to a new state, our immune systems were exposed to a whole bunch of new viruses & germs.

So after about a month or so of this happening, I started getting super frustrated & realized that I needed to be more pro-active in trying to PREVENT my family from getting sick in the first place.  The only thing our family really did was take vitamins, & that was sometimes even forgotten.

After months of misery, I made the decision to become a diligent, virus-fighting mommy soldier.  I was so sick of being sick, seeing my babies sick, & my husband being sick... enough is enough!!!  I started doing research on ways to make my family healthier & able to fight off sickness better/quicker.

One of my very good & most trusted friends introduced me to essential oils by Young Living.  I had heard of them before but didn't know much, & honestly some MLM company reps are so over bearing & quite the turn off on social media these days, so I hadn't paid much attention.  But this friend of mine has such a passion for how these oils have changed her health so drastically, that it definitely sparked my attention.

I started learning all about how oils come from the plants & trees of God's green earth, & with quality oils from companies like Young Living, they're bottled directly at the source with no added fillers or chemicals.  I believe that God created a remedy for every symptom we could have & these remedies come from the earth!  Sometimes we get very sick & need medicine from the doctor, but when we prevent ourselves from getting sick in the first place by using natural remedies, many times we don't have to get to that point!

I was amazed at all of the different oils there are.  I signed up with Young Living so I could receive the starter kit that gets your started with some of the best oils & got a diffuser.  I ordered glass roller bottles (from Amazon) & started educating myself on which oils to use on my family & when.

BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!!  We are officially an oily family now.  Even my stubborn husband who rolled his eyes about it all in the beginning has become a believer.

I think my #1 favorite oil is Thieves.  This is a blend of oils that help our immune system.  I use thieves in addition to oregano, orange, lavender, lemon, & clove diluted with organic olive oil in a roller.  I apply this to my whole family's feet every night before bed.  The reason I apply it to the bottoms of our feet is because it's most easily absorbed into our systems that way, & it prevents the kid's skin from getting irritated from the oils.  (So I make the blend extra potent knowing the bottoms of their feet won't get irritated.)

When I started using these oils on a daily basis, my family started getting sick a lot less, & eventually hardly at all!  Am I saying your family will NEVER get sick if you use oils? Most likely not. But I can tell you from personal experience that with diligent use, it has made a HUGE improvement for us.  Also, when someone does get sick, they're better SO fast!!! I am amazed at how much quicker we recover from any sickness now.

So far, this cold & flu season hasn't been NEARLY as brutal as last year, & I give most of the credit to my oils.  My sons got a stomach bug for half a day, & then they were better immediately.  Then they got a mild cold that lasted for maybe a few days, when last year it would have lasted weeks.  I got my first cold just recently & it was also gone within a couple days.  You guys.... this is a NIGHT & DAY difference from last year's nightmare!!!

There are so many more oils I could tell you about, & many different reasons why I love them, but this post would go on forever.  I have oils for night time to help us sleep, calming oils I put in the diffuser for the family to breathe in during relaxing evenings, & so much more.

In addition to oils, I've also added a couple other homeopathic remedies to our routine that also have played a part in our family staying so much healther:

- Bragg Apple Cider vinegar (with the "mother", a splash in the kid's juice bottles every morning.  For myself I will just add a splash to a glass of water or juice & chug it down.)
- Probiotic powder (also in the kid's juice every morning, I get ours from Sprouts! My husband & I will take capsules daily.)
- Multi-vitamins (we've tried many kinds, but my kids love gummies from sprouts or I hide liquid vitamins in their juice sometimes too!)
Also, of course don't forget diligent hand washing, & trying to get fruits/veggies in your family's diet daily... finding ways to sneak them in is easy if you search on Pinterest. ;)

If you have ANY questions regarding oils, or any of the other stuff I mentioned, please feel free to email me!
Or, you can DM me on Instagram, my handle is: @sincerelystevieblog.

If you're interested in purchasing oils from Young Living & starting a new healthy lifestyle routine with your family, you can go to this link:

I recommend the starter kit that comes with a home diffuser!  You get so many amazing oils & the package deal is amazing. :)

I hope your family isn't suffering this fall the way we did last year.  If so, know there is hope!  I hope that by sharing what I have today, I am helping at least one family get a little bit healthier! I wouldn't have known any of these things if it weren't for it being shared with me.

Have a wonderful rest of your week my friends!

30 week bump update & some nesting projects!

Hello & Happy Sunday Funday!

Not a ton of funday action going on around here, but things are going well!  I'm choosing to be home & lazy these days on the weekends over doing anything else, I'm getting exhausted pretty easily!

I'm now in the third week of third trimester, at 30 weeks.  Next week I'll be down to the single digits of weeks left! Woohoo!

Here's a re-cap of my week-to-week belly pics.... I've skipped a few weeks but I've overall done a good job documenting the growing bump:

Some of the bump photos I've posted on Instagram:

One of the fun DIY projects we recently completed was a backpack station by our front door!!!  I am IN LOVE with it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a tutorial of how it was done.  I come up with a vision in my head of what I'd like, tell my husband, & he wings the construction part of it without plans.  I painted it & helped him nail in boards.  If you'd like the instructions in a nutshell, here are my husbands words:

(2) 10' boards, 12" deep, 1" wide.
Cut them to fit the width wall.
Cut (4) 12" pieces off of the boards.
Screwed them together, painted.
Stained the back splash slats a dark wood stain.
Measured out equal distance for each cubby at the bottom.
We used brackets behind the back slats to hold them together once stain was dry.
We put the amount of slats we wanted to reach the preferred height, still allowing room for the shelf at the top.
Used (2) 1x4 & (1) 1x6 for the top shelf & screwed it to the backsplash. (This includes the boards on the sides too.)
Screwed the backsplash & the shelf into the wall.
Baskets at the bottom are from Target!

If you have a handy hubby who is good at this stuff, he may be able to figure out how to do it based off of the instructions above.  If you'd like further info on how to make this, please feel free to email me at: & we can go into it further with you! :)

Here is my fall porch display for this year:

My nesting doesn't end there.  In addition to these projects, I've completely gutted & re-organized our master closet, our walk-in pantry, 5 junk drawers & 3 utility drawers, the game room closet, the kid's closets, & coming up next will be our laundry room, master bathroom cupboards & possibly my office supplies.  I am a complete nesting maniac!!!

Okay, I think that's enough for one post.

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram where I share a lot more frequently than my blog!

I hope y'all have a wonderful week ahead!  Happy Fall!
